Arsenal vs. PSV as Saka

After a six-month delay, the iconic titleholders league theme will boom out of the Emirates Stadium speakers once again as we return to Europe’s premier club competition by hosting PSV Eindhoven.

In what will be Mikel Arteta’s first game as a director in the competition, he'll be taking on familiar foes after we faced the Dutch club twice in the Europa League last term, with each side winning their own home game.

A reprise of that script in north London on Wednesday night would be the perfect way to advertise our return to the competition that we qualified for in 19 consecutive seasons before our recent exile, a record that's only surpassed by Real Madrid and Barcelona.

 Bosz bossing the Eredivisie

Important things have changed at PSV since last season's visit to N5. Dressing room controversies saw Ruud van Nistelrooy replaced in the bunker by Petr Bosz, while stars such as Xavi Simons, Cody Gakpo, and Noni Madueke have all departed since the turn of time.

Still, this crusade has started impeccably for Bosz, who managed to retain the Johan Cruyff Shield after beating Feyenoord. PSV have also won all four of their Eredivisie games, recording 4–0 successes on either side of the transnational break against Waalwijk and NEC Nijmegen to move to the top of the table.

Unlike last season, they also managed to make it into the titleholders League group stage for the first time since 2018/19 and did so in style. Sturm Graz was crushed 7-2 in total in the third qualifying round, leading to a meeting with Rangers. After a 2–2 draw at Ibrox, the Scottish side were thumped 5–1 in Eindhoven as Bosz's platoon reserved their spot in the last 32.

Pretensions have been flowing for the Eindhoven side this season, with 28 recorded in their nine matches. Stager striker Luuk de Jong formerly had nine to his name as well as five assists, as he enjoys a grandiloquent patch that belittles his 33 years of age.

What the managers say

Arteta "That is what we want to do( progress from the group), but this is football, and hereafter we are going to play against a really good platoon. They'ven't lost a game this season, and they've won the maturity of them, and they're used to winning like every other platoon that's in the titleholders league.

It'll be a really tough test. I am sure about that. We've got to treat it like any other game. We're used to playing top opposition every week in the Premier League, and hereafter again, we are going to have a top side fighting against us.

The good thing is that we witness that every three or four days in the Premier League, so it won't be any different hereafter." hear everything the master had to say in his pre-match press conference. Bosz "I suppose Arsenal are the toughest opponents in the group. Arsenal is also a platoon that's in shape.

The most important thing is that we show courage. We're playing against a veritably good opponent, but we've got to dare and want to play football ourselves.

That will be veritably important if we're to conceivably win. They're trying to produce one more man in midfield, and we're going to fight that. We'll acclimatize to a detailed position, but our view won't change.

 Talking tactics

Adrian Clarke, writing in the sanctioned matchday program PSV is basically a possession-grounded side who wants to control matches via a maturity share of the ball, so don't be surprised to see our opponents transude tolerance and quality when knocking the ball around.

Bosz is famed for his attack-inclined approach. His platoon will look after the ball confidently, commit bodies forward, and perform with adventure.

The strike to this style is that they do occasionally leave themselves open at the reverse, and as they like to push numerous men forward, they do hold a fairly high line, which is an area we may target from successions and transitions.

The callers have yet to keep a clean distance in Europe so far this season, oohing five pretensions in their four qualifiers. From a political perspective, they like to shoot the bulk of their attacks down the right-hand side. So far this term, 43 percent of their raids forward have come down that hand, as 20-year-old Belgian transnational winger Johan Bakayoko(over) has the pace and wile to beget problems.

He enjoys cutting infield onto his stronger left bottom, an armament that has formerly produced several quality pretensions and assists. When crosses are transferred into the penalty box, De Jong has an imminence in the air, as he showed when scoring a title against us in last season’s Europa League.

Whenever Dutch transnational Joey Veerman stands over a set piece, De Jong will need to be tightly marked.
